Most people depend on their own mail server or website on their network, whereas other business people depend on their web hosting providers.

You should also consider what type of access is required by you. Do you have to continue with the existing bandwidth, or should you upgrade or downgrade in tune with your oncoming needs? DSL transmission is currently popular because it utilizes exiting telephone wiring or cable modems. Broadband and Cable tend to be similar, depending on your area. Your choice is primarily influenced by cost and availability.
